Listed Chapel, Lincoln

THE OLD CHAPEL, BAILGATE, LINCOLN. 

Carre Heritage was commissioned by private clients to carry out extensive renovations works to The Old Chapel located in the heart of the Bailgate, Lincoln.

 
A very comprehensive and ambitious project which involved providing underfloor heating to all three floors. The three storey building included a large entrance with kitchen and sitting room with adjoining laundry room, plus cloakroom and three bedrooms all with en-suites plus a library which overlooked the sitting room on the ground floor.

 
Massive roof lights were installed, using heavy duty suction type machinery to fit them exactly into place, thereby creating a magnificent view of Lincoln Cathedral.

The contemporary design on the internal fits paring very sensitively within the local historical context, while embracing modern construction methods.
