MEDIEVAL CURZON LATRINE, TATTERSHALL CASTLE
The National Trust commissioned Carre Heritage to stabilise and restore to its original glory, the leaning Curzon Latrine at Tattershall Castle, following the savagery carried out by the local badgers and rabbits.
The holes created beneath the latrine were carefully filled and blocked, piling commenced, followed by structural works, as instructed by Hockley & Dawson S.E. A specialist jacking procedure followed to level the latrine, plus stabilisation to surrounding area.
The latrine stood straight and level for the first time in years with badger protection installed. A very rewarding project.
