The Post House at 10 Market Place, was established in the 19th Century, serving a vital communication link for the town and surrounding areas The building features typical architectural elements for this period, traditional sash windows, classic stone work and traditional shop frontage, reflecting the Victorian era style.

As the 20th Century progressed, the role of postal services evolved, leading to closures or relocation of many Post Offices in the UK including Sleaford.

Even after the post office ceased operations, the building's historical significance has been recognised, contributing to Sleaford's heritage.

Extensive window repairs using repair care to repair sashes, cills and jams, restoring and preserving the traditional sash windows.

To The Building

Decorations to the entire building were carried out following cleaning down and mortar repairs in lime render to the stone works. Carre Heritage is proud to preserve 10 Market Place, Sleaford's history through traditional repair methods ensuring future generations can enjoy this significant site.
