As the 20th Century progressed, the role of postal services evolved, leading to closures or relocation of many Post Offices in the UK including Sleaford.
Even after the post office ceased operations, the building's historical significance has been recognised, contributing to Sleaford's heritage.

The building has received shop frontage stone work repairs by our traditional stone mason to the perished stone pillars and plinths, with a traditional lime mortar to the joints. Repairs to the chimney tops, replacing perished and loose bricks with reclaimed matching bricks and pointed up in traditional lime mortar to match existing brick work. Extensive window repairs using repair care to repair sashes, cills and jams, restoring and preserving the traditional sash windows.
