Works included a new shopfront to better connect with the historic buildings either side. The brickwork above was painted and there is a new hand-painted sign for the business. A plaque has also been added to help commemorate the Old Corn Exchange building.

19 Market Place, Sleaford showcases designs from various periods including Georgian and Victorian architecture characterised by their symmetry, proportions and decorative elements. The building contributes to the cultural fabrics of Sleaford.


The restoration of 19 Market Place, Sleaford through Heritage Grant Funding highlights the importance of preserving historical architecture and enhancing the aesthetic appeal.


Modern replacement windows to the first floor to replicate the classic design which is both functional and historically appropriate.


The color palette for the building aligns with the historical style, accentuating its features and enhancing the overall streetscape.

Restoration works focused on returning the shop front to its original style which included traditional hand-painted signage, wooden framing and restoring the symmetry to the adjoining shop front, typical of that era.
